I have been university professor and training adults long enough for teaching to become a second nature to me and I try to apply what I have learnt to teaching sailing. I don't just sail you around, I apply a training programme and offer exercises adapted to each trainee's level.
Safety is also one of my main preoccupations. If the trainee doesn't feel safe, he won't be able to make progress. I train participants procedures and habits that will allow them to sail in total safety.
Sailing is fun and it's important that it should be so. It's easier to learn in a relaxed context and comfortable environment. My yacht is comfortable and well fitted out. I avoid overpopulating it in order to ensure trainees' comfort.
I am a Federal Instructor - Second Degree (Moniteur Fédéral) with the French Sailing Federation, I have the Short Range Certificate for the VHF, I am certified STCWC95 and am an instructor trainer with the Fédération Française de Voile. I spend about 200 days a year on the water.
